RaceART as they are know today were formed in December of 2014, ahead of the 12 Hours of Nurburgring as part of the 2013 TORA Endurance Championship. However, looking back, the team has been around for a couple of years, bearing different names, but all still owned by current team owner, Sam Evans.

It was back in 2012 when they team first formed, under the name Precision Engineering. Created to take on the brand new GPForza DTM Championship on Forza Motorsport 4, Precision Engineering entered in the Audi A4 DTM car, with Evans alongside Scott Swelder. The team dominated the series, taking five wins from the seven races, including three one-two finishes to win thebteams championship. It was Swelder who piped Evans to the drivers title, despite a late championship charge from the team principal saw him finish just three points away from the crown. Following this, the team expanded and entered the Canadian-based LLBM Le Mans Series. Entering a Ford GT into the GT2 category, with just two races to go, US driver Sterling Sharpe won in his first ever race for the team at the Nurburgring, followed by a second place finish at the season finale.

The following year, Precision Engineering returned to defend their titles who in a successful 2012. Reigning champion Swelder had jumped ship to TJD Motorsport, so the championss spot was taken by scot, Darren Kirkpatrick, who finished 2012 in fifth place in the standings. The drivers title was once again a battle between former team mates Swelder and Evans, and again Swelder won by a tight margin, just seven points seperated the two this time around. Despite only taking two wins compared to Evans's four, Evans was left to rue a first round DNF which would ultimately deny him of the title. Precision Engineering were however able to retain their Teams Championship for a second year.

To accompany the DTM Championship, Precision Engineering entering into a full season of the LLBM Le Mans Series, this time in a Jaguar XK GT2 car. Evans drove for the team, and in a highly competitive season, managed three podium finishes, and finished the season in sixth place, despite missing the final two races. The Le Mans Series was followed by the 2013 V8 Supercar Championship, which the team also entered. With brothers Sam and Jordan at the wheel, a tough season saw the team almost clinch second position in the teams championship, while Sam took fourth place in the drivers standings, with Jordan ninth.

2013 also saw the team compete on TORA for the first time. Firstly in March for the 12 Hours of Sebring, then in December. The team raced at Sebring under the name EBR Racing, fielding three cars in the LMP1 class. The teams best finish was seventeenth in class after qualifying eleventh with Sam Evans, Patrick Schiwitz from Austria, and Irishman Sean Gazzas, but it set the ball rolling for the team on TORA.

Then in December 2013, the team got back to racing, as they entered the TEC 12 Hours of Nurburgring. They entered with four drivers, as RaceART Competition. The team qualified well down the order, but a great race saw them finish in twelfth position overall in their Ferrari 458GT. The team then went quiet and did not return to racing for exactly one year.

Move the clock forward 363 days, and RaceART were back sitting on the grid, this time for 24 Hours around the Nurburgring. Evans managed to get three willing drivers to join his team, and despite Patrick Schiwitz pulling out after making a return to the team, the three muskateers of Evans, Eyles and Davis-Loades soldiered on into the race, after qualifying a best ever result of third position. The race started strongly, but the team faded unforunately, resulting in a less exciting position. However, this race spelled the return for RaceART Competition, and the team as a whole which started in 2012, and has begun to transform into a larger, more professional racing outfit than it has ever been.
